DISTRICT 14 AND NTAP – PRO BONO CLINIC

Posted by Texas Paralegal Division Blogger at blog@txpd.org on November 2, 2012

East Texas Area Paralegals!
District 14 and NTAP to Co-Sponsor
Second Annual Wills for Heroes

District 14 and the Northeast Texas Association of Paralegals (NTAP) are joining forces to put on a free estate-planning clinic for military veterans and their spouses on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Law Offices of Joe Newsom in Gilmer.

Attorney-paralegal teams will prepare simple wills, medical powers of attorney, general powers of attorney, and directives to physicians—all free of charge. In 2011, the group held a similar event in Longview and prepared documents for 58 people. They are looking forward to a good turnout again this year.

If you are interested in helping with the clinic or know a veteran in the Gilmer / Upshur County area who could benefit from this project, please contact Mona Tucker at District14@txpd.org.
