I began mentoring under one of your program mentors in the early fall of this year and have completed the program under her earlier this month. I’m glad you contacted me because I wasn’t sure who I could write to about my experience (I apologize it took me a while I’ve been preoccupied with finals at school). My mentor has been the most wonderful mentor to me; she covered many issues with ethics and my most favorite part was being able to witness her utilize so many websites for research and to see how the research is applied. She provided me with many materials and was very organized and prepared in teaching me. The Protege/Mentor Program has been very beneficial to me so I have recommended it to many of my peers and I also informed my core instructor about it so that he can pass the word on, he was unaware of this benefit of being a student member through TXPD and was very pleased and happy to know that this is available to us. I truly appreciate this program and I thank you for contacting me so that I can share the positive learning experience I had with my Mentor.
Best Regards,
